Etna – Marsala – Palermo Markets – Greek Temples – Blood Orange Amaro – Southern Italian Soul
Private custom travel also available for groups, families, and culinary clubs.
Travel through Sicily with Marcus and Jamie Guiliano, from Palermo’s historic markets to Marsala wine country, mountain vineyards, ancient Greek temples, family estates, olive oil producers, blood orange amaro, and the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna.
Sicily has a different intensity. The colors feel brighter. The flavors are bolder. The history runs deeper. The hospitality feels more personal.
One morning you may stand inside a 2,500-year-old Greek temple. That afternoon, you may share wine with a family whose roots in Sicily stretch back generations. By evening, you may be eating seafood caught that same morning while Mount Etna smolders in the distance.
Marcus and Jamie love Sicily because the island is alive. Nothing feels staged. Nothing feels polished for tourists. The best moments come through people, producers, chefs, hoteliers, and artisans who still carry Sicily’s traditions forward.
Palermo, Marsala, Trapani, the Madonie Mountains, ancient Greek temples, Mount Etna, volcanic vineyards, salt pans, historic coastal towns, family estates, olive groves, and Sicily’s agricultural interior.
Private winery visits, owner-hosted tastings, old cellars, blood orange amaro, olive oil at the source, seafood lunches, boutique hotels, volcanic wine country, mountain vineyards, and the kind of hospitality that turns a trip into a story.

Most tours show you Sicily, but we introduce you to Sicilians. Most tours chase attractions, but we focus on experiences built through years of real relationships with producers, chefs, hoteliers, and artisans. You will not simply visit wineries, you will meet the people behind them. You will not simply eat great food, you will understand the culture that created it. You will not simply see Sicily, you will experience it.
Time for Palermo’s markets. Time for Marsala cellars. Time for mountain vineyards. Time for Etna’s volcanic slopes. Time for seafood, olive oil, blood oranges, pistachios, and long conversations with the people who call the island home.
This is the rhythm of the trip. Not rushed. Not staged. Just Sicily through relationships, food, wine, and place.
8-day immersive itinerary
Each day is designed around the rhythm of the island: historic cities, wine country, family estates, mountain vineyards, ancient sites, coastal food, and volcanic landscapes.
Arrive in Palermo and settle into Grand Hotel et Des Palmes. The first evening introduces Sicily through historic streets, local hospitality, and the first shared meal with Marcus and Jamie.
Begin with Palermo’s food culture, market life, and layered history. Then move toward western Sicily, where coastal wine country, family producers, and Trapani hospitality begin the wine portion of the journey.
Today belongs to Marsala. Visit Caruso & Minini and Cantine Florio to experience both the modern future and historic soul of western Sicilian wine. The day closes with coastal light, salt pans, and a glass in hand.
Travel into Sicily’s interior for a different expression of the island. Castellucci Miano and Tenute Lombardo reveal mountain freshness, agricultural tradition, indigenous grapes, and the quieter Sicily that few travelers see.
Step into Sicily’s ancient past with Greek temple history before returning to the table for wine, olive oil, and estate hospitality. This day connects archaeology, agriculture, and the Mediterranean food culture that still shapes the island.
Etna changes the energy of the trip. Volcanic soils, old vines, lava-stone terraces, and cool mountain air define the wines. Visit Firriato or Graci and begin to understand why Etna has become one of the world’s most exciting wine regions.
Continue on Etna with Terrazze dell’Etna or Tenuta Tascante, then explore the island through artisan spirits such as Amara or Paesano. This day shows Sicily’s creativity beyond wine.
Guests explore indigenous varieties, volcanic wines, coastal expressions, and historic fortified wine styles.
Only 8 to 14 guests are invited into this hosted Sicily experience. The size is intentional. It protects the intimacy, the access, and the conversations that make the trip special.
