Discovering a Hidden Gem: Our Experience at Barnstormer Winery on Seneca Lake's West Side

And if you happen to be exploring the west side of Seneca Lake, you should definitely add Barnstormer Winery to your must-visit list.

Located in the town of Rock Stream, Barnstormer Winery is a family-owned and operated winery that has been producing quality wines for over a decade. When we stumbled upon this winery during our visit to the Finger Lakes, we had no idea what to expect. But boy, were we surprised!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality by the staff. They were knowledgeable about the wines and eager to share their passion for winemaking with us. We were offered a tasting flight of their wines, which included a variety of whites, reds, and even a rosé. Each wine was unique and delicious in its own way, and we found ourselves struggling to choose a favorite.

One standout was their Riesling, which was crisp and refreshing with notes of green apple and citrus. It was the perfect wine to enjoy on a sunny day. Another favorite was their Cabernet Franc, which was bold and complex with flavors of black cherry and black pepper. It paired perfectly with the charcuterie board we ordered.
